Oh my here it is spring already and no rain. While many of you are still under snow here in Northern California we are in a really dry situation. So far this season we have had one storm. In fact my daffodils have just started to bloom in the last week. Usually they are finished before the end of Feb. Well so much for the local weather report.
I'm going to brag a little here. Usually I do not enter quilts in shows, mostly because I am reluctant to have a sample tied up if I am doing a show. I did bite the bullet in Feb. and entered Anna Bell's Garden in the Folsom Quilt Guild show. In the Mixed Media category I got SECOND place. That is my Happy Dance for sure. Unfortunately the picture does not do it justice because of the size of the piece and all the embroidery.

Yes I have been busy. Two new patterns are up for you to get a head start on this coming Holiday season. I know it seems early but it takes time to make those personal gifts. If you wait till December it is unlikely they will get done so start early and have more time to enjoy the holidays. Both patterns are available in print or downloadable formats.
Christmas Pink features pink poinsettias and red candles. It is either a fusible or hand applique project, instructions for both are included as well as reversed templates for fusible.

Christmas Snow is the newest. Finished just last night in fact. This one has crocheted snowflakes, a translucent tree made with organza and embellished with satin ribbon and hot fix crystals.

A new feature starting with these two patterns is the materials list. This could be especially helpful if you order a printed pattern. You can incorporate the materials needed in your next shopping trip before the pattern actually arrives. Or shop online.
Special for the rest of March to celebrate DH and my 51st. anniversary 51% off the Basted Needle Turn DVD for only $9.66.

Until next time have a lovely spring.
